Contemporary Art Review (CAR) is an online publication on the conservation and preservation of contemporary works of art and cultural heritage, published annually by the Contemporary Art Network (CAN!) of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC). It compiles post-prints (full-length articles, extended abstracts, and abstracts) of papers presented at the AIC Annual Meeting and independently submitted articles of interest to the CAN! Community.
Papers presented in the Contemporary Art Review have been edited for clarity and content but have not undergone a formal process of peer review. Responsibility for the methods and materials described herein rests solely with the authors, whose articles should not be considered official statements of CAN! or AIC. CAN! is an approved division of the AIC but does not necessarily represent AIC policy or opinions.
